1. Go to the SFWA/SFF Net signup page.
2. Read what's on the page. Click on "SFF.NET Policies and Procedures." Read this. Go back to the signup page (either by clicking on the "Back" symbol on your browser or by typing it in again.
3. Click on "I have read and agree to the SFF.NET policies."
4. Fill out the form that appears. Click "Continue".
5. Accept or change desired username. Click "Continue."
6. Click "Return to SFWA's Main Page." Wait for e-mail from the Executive Director that will contain your password. (SFF Net's office will be closed Thursday, 23 December, through Sunday, 26 December, so signups during that time will not be processed till after the 26th.)
7. When you have your username and passord, go to FAQ page and read it all. Follow any links that look like they address your particular situation.
8. Start your newsgroup Reader software and access the Newsgroups, referring back to the FAQ page if you get stuck.
