SFWA’s Nebula Award Ceremony will be streamed live

For the first time ever, one of the premier awards in science fiction will be streamed live on the Web. This Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 7:00 pm EDT The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America will showcase the Nebula Awards Ceremony. Fundraiser for Nashville flood relief includes editorial review by SFWA president

Amanda Morgan, Victoria Schwab and Myra McEntire, Nashville based authors, are holding an auction to raise money for middle Tennessee flood victims. Mission:To accept donations from publishing professionals to auction for middle Tennessee flood relief. Proceeds will benefit The Community Foundation Flood Relief.

Among the items up for auction is an editorial review by Russell Davis, SFWA president.

Russell Davis, author, editor, packager, and President of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, will read (1) complete novel manuscript and reply with a detailed editorial letter in response. In addition, Russell will do a detailed line edit on the first three (3) chapters. Lastly, he will do a phone call with the person, after they’ve had a chance to look everything over, to answer any questions.

NYC simulcast of the Nebula Ceremony is now $25

The SoHo Gallery for Digital Art is proud to announce that it has received a NYC Neighborhood Arts Grant that will cover much of the cost of the Nebula Awards Simulcast, allowing them to offer the May 15th presentation and dinner at less than half the original price.  The cost is now $25.00 for SFWA members and $30 Dollars for others.  All those who have already paid will receive a refund at the gallery the night of the event.  The menu remains the same.
