Excellent idea! Normally, I am chided for getting completely sidetracked. Now, I have an excuse. Except, I'm not a writer.

Awhile back, a friend posted a picture of an old tartan-edged postcard of Edinburgh. This got me interested in the history of tartan. I ended up in China, were, apparently, everything was invented. Then, on to the 4,000 year old Chinese Tarim mummies. The caucasian, red-haired Tarim mummies. In China. I'm not sure what that's all about, but, it's pretty interesting.

That entire journey was inspired by the decorative edge of a postcard. Imagine if I'd made it to the subject!

It's REALLY good to see you writing this stuff, Luc! I don't get to CODEX much these days because I find I'm so immersed in my writing that I just haven't the time to check out OTHER people's writing. I only get to CODEX about once a week and I typically haven't been leaving comments.

I don't see you often, though you may well be more active than I see -- I stick pretty much to the submission updates and comments from people I know ("from the old days" when the member list only held about thirty people...) Anyway -- good idea here! I'm planning on using it next time I prep for a new story/article!
