Actually, Google+ has announced that they are preparing a new policy regarding names that sounds significantly more friendly to authors with pen names and pseudonyms in general (cross fingers). Don't know exactly when it is set to be implemented, but my guess is in the next few months. So that is very encouraging.

And the moment I can have my pseudonym instead of my real name (like I have at the moment), I'll resume using them again.

I would love to abandon FB. I do not like their constant intrusions into my real life and their "accidental" changes to security settings which repeatedly leave all my data exposed for days at a time. I have zero trust in Facebook. However, I've no interest in giving any serious use to Google+ either, as their lack of concern about what identity is visible to whom shows they have little interest in our needs. Like Facebook, we are the product, not the customer.

Under Google+ rules, John Wayne (real name Marion Morrison) would have his account suddenly banned for not using his real identity. So I wait and hope they wisen up, because I do like it. But not enough to expose myself to the world to use it.
