		<description><![CDATA[Several of SFWA&#039;s most useful contributions to genre authors, in my opinion, are: standard contracts, contact data on literary agents, Writer Beware, the Emergency Medical Fund (which may have saved my wife&#039;s life), GriefCom, Random Audits, and a chance to commune with fellow authors at SFWA Suites of major cons (such as Worldcons).  SFWA does a superb job of vetting Major Publishers, so much better for members than other publishers, or mere self-publishing.]]></description>
