QWhy is there such a fuss over the electronic rights clauses in contracts? What good are electronic rights, anyway?
AElectronic rights are valuable intellectual property. Print markets frequently try to obtain, with no additional payment to the author, electronic rights they have no present means of using. The author should either retain those rights or be paid extra for them, as for any other secondary rights (movie, audio, foreign, etc.).There are several lists of paying markets on-line:
