In a brief but entertaining ceremony at the World Horror Convention in Kansas City, Edward Bryant announced that this year’s International Horror Guild Living Legend will be Charles Grant. Also presented was the previously announced Grand Master to Chelsey Quinn Yarbro; and the 1996 Achievement Award for Short Fiction to Graham Masterton. Masterton never received his award in 1996 and was to finally receive it at this year’s WHC. At the last minute he was unable to attend the event and it was accepted for him by Brian Hopkins.
