The 2004 Italia Awards for best SF published in Italy were presented on March 13 at ITALCON 30/DeepCon 5 in Fiuggi, Italy.

The winners were chosen by a jury of fans and members of WORLD SF ITALIA. The awards were delivered by Ernesto Vegetti, chairman of WORLD SF ITALIA at the end of the annual Banquet.

BEST NOVEL: Clipart by Elisabetta Vernier (Solid)

BEST INTERNATIONAL NOVEL: Inversions by Iain M. Banks, (Nord)

BEST ARTIST: Giuseppe Festino

BEST COMICS ARTIST: Leo Ortolani

BEST EDITOR: Silvio Sosio

BEST TRANSLATOR: Flora Staglianò

BEST SHORT STORY: "Effetto CRX" by Silvio Sosio and Luigi Pachì (Delos, Delos Books)

BEST ESSAY: "Enciclopedia della Fantascienza in TV 2", by Aleksandar Mickovic, Marcello Rossi, Nicola Vianello (Fanucci)
