************************************************************ Dr. Rick Rashid is Nebula Awards® Keynote Speaker ************************************************************ The Keynote Speaker for the Nebula Awards® banquet is Dr. Rick Rashid, founder and head of Microsoft Research, and a senior Vice President of Microsoft Corporation. Dr. Rashid is giving a talk titled, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future." The talk will explore some of the reasons for the mismatch between prediction and reality in computer science, and also show off some new technologies fresh from the laboratory. Ticket prices for the banquet will go up March 20, from $100 to $120. There will be no at-the-door banquet ticket sales.
