Gardner Dozois is stepping down at Asimov's

Locus Magazine online reports that Gardner Dozois is stepping down as editor of Asimov's Science Fiction.  Gardner Dozois began editing Asimov's in May of 1985 and has received the Best Professional Editor Hugo Award 14 times. Locus reports that Dozois will continue with Asimov’s as a Contributing Editor, but will pursue other projects including his own writing.

Sheila Williams, the current Executive Editor, will take over as Editor with the January 2005 issue.
