Cele Goldsmith Lalli (1933-2002)

The AP is reporting that Cele Goldsmith Lalli died in a single vehicle accident near her Connecticut home on Monday.

The retired editor in chief of Modern Bride magazine, as Cele Goldsmith she was assistant editor and then managing editor of Amazing Stories and Fantastic from 1956-1965.

She was the first to publish such authors as Thomas M. Disch, Roger Zelazny and Ursula K. Le Guin.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters and five grandchildren. She was 68.
