*************************************************** SFWA Fall Business meeting to be at MileHiCon *************************************************** The SFWA Board of Directors, in consultation with the incoming Board, has designated MileHiCon as the venue for the fall general business meeting. The convention will be held October 24 - 26, 2003 at Lakewood, Colorado. Normally SFWA's two business meetings are held at the Nebula Award Weekend and the World Science Fiction Convention (WorldCon). When the WorldCon is outside North America, the 2nd meeting is held at the North American Science Fiction Convention. But SFWA is incorporated in the State of Massachusetts and Massachusetts state law forbids corporate business meetings to be held outside of the United States and this year's WorldCon is in Toronto, Ontario Earlier this year, it was announced that the Fall SFWA business meeting would be held at the World Fantasy Convention, but the WFC Board made a policy decision not to allow any competition to the WFC programming.
