Bill Rotsler's novels include Patron of the Arts (1974), To the Land of the Electric Angel (1976), Zandra (1978), and The Far Frontier
(1980). He was also well known in fandom as a prolific and distinctive
cartoonist, for which work he twice received the Hugo for Best Fan
Artist. His service to SFWA included locating the fossils, crystals
and stones for the Nebula Award trophies. Bill had been fighting
cancer for some time; according to a report posted on Genie by
Christine Valada, he died quietly in his sleep on the morning of
October 18, at the southern California home of his friend Paul Turner. |
