Sovereign Media Co. will be discontinuing Science Fiction Age with the May, 2000 issue. The bimonthly magazine, which combined SF media and literature, started publication in November, 1992.

Subscriptions to SF Age dropped dramatically in 1999 and approximately 25,000 subscribers remained at the beginning of this year.

Scott Edelman was the editor of SF Age for the entire run. He maintained a high quality mix of established authors and unknowns, and published many Nebula™ and Hugo Award nominated stories, including one Nebula Award™ winner. He is leaving Sovereign and in March will take over editorship of Satellite Orbit, a monthly TV programming guide with a circulation of 375,000.

Sovereign’s Realms of Fantasy magazine will continue publication.
