2003 TAFF & DUFF winners
***************************************************

The 2003 winners for the Trans-Atlantic Fan Fund and Down Under Fan Fund have been selected.

Randy Byers is the winner of the TAFF race. Randy will attend the 2003 Eastercon, Seacon '03, in Hinckley, Leicestershire, which is to be held from April 18-21.

Guy and Rosy Lillian were the winners of the DUFF race and will attend the Australian national science fiction convention.

The Trans-Atlantic Fan Fund was created in 1953 for the purpose of providing funds to bring well-known and popular fans familiar to those on both sides of the ocean across the Atlantic. Since that time TAFF has regularly brought North American fans to European conventions and European fans to North American convention. More details are at http://home.attbi.com/~vmgonzalez/taff.html.

The Down Under Fan Fund is a fund that helps send an Australian/New Zealand science fiction fan to attend either a Worldcon or NASFiC in North America and, in alternate years, helps send a fan from North America to attend an Australian Worldcon or National Convention. The first trip was in 1972. More details are at http://home.pacbell.net/jgelb/duff2k.html.
