*************************************************** Thomas Scott Winnett (1962-2004) *************************************************** Thomas Scott Winnett, 42, of Houston, passed away December 12, 2004 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born February 4, 1962 in Corpus Christi, Texas, he loved music, theater, literature, and writing. He was preceded in death by his father Alton E. Winnett. Scott was a staff member and reviewer for Locus, the magazine of the science fiction field, where over 500 of his reviews have been published since 1989. He is survived by his mother, Alma Winnett of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sister, Jeanie Brandon and her husband Jimmy of Bridgeport, Texas; brother, Eddie Winnett of Carrollton, Texas; aunt, Bennie Oliver of Corpus Christi, Texas; nephew, Charles Winnett of Richardson, Texas; an uncle, several aunts and numerous friends. A memorial service for Thomas Scott will be held at a later date. Posted December 17, 2004 |
