Joe Haldeman: The Accidental Time Machine
Joe Haldeman’s new novel The Accidental Time Machine is just out from Ace
Books, as is the paperback of A Separate War and Other Stories. The novel is getting great reviews! If your book store
doesn't have the books, ask them to order them.
Speaking and signing schedule:
- August 10, 2007, Friday, at 1 PM he’ll be on “Conner Calling,” a radio call-
in show from the University of Florida, Gainesville, WUFT-FM. You
may be able to listen to it on the internet, although they've been having trouble with their
streaming audio.
- August 11, 2007, Saturday, at 2 PM he’ll be talking and signing books at
Jonesberry Books, Jonesville, FL (near Gainesville). The bookstore
is located 3 miles west of I-75 on Newberry Road (SR 26) in Tioga
Town Center (across from West End Golf Course). (352) 333-2445.
- August 12, 2007, Sunday, at noon (Eastern Time) Joe will answering
questions in Second Life on Dr. Dobb's Island in the Auditorium. For
those who don't know, this is a virtual reality environment on the
internet.
(Visit Second Life to get the
appropriate software).
- August 30, 2007, Thursday-September 3, Monday—We'll attend Nippon 2007, the World
Science Fiction Convention in Yokohama, Japan.
- September 10, 2007, Monday, at 7 PM, Joe reads and signs on the 3rd Floor,
The Harvard Coop Book Store, Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA.
- September 23, 2007, Sunday, at 2 PM, Joe signs at Books and Company @ the
Green

- September 27, 2007, Thursday, 7 PM, Joe reads at MIT, Room 6-120. 77
Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA 02139.
- October 4, Thursday, to October 8, Monday, 2007, Joe is a guest at
Gaylaxicon in Atlanta, GA, at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, 165
Courtland St., Atlanta. He'll have a reading and book signing.
- October 22, 2007, Mon--Talks and reading at Hendrix College, Conway, AR-
"Writing Alien Worlds" 7:30PM, Reves Recital Hall. Reception, Signing.
- November 1-5, 2007, we'll attend the World Fantasy Convention in Saratoga
Springs, NY at 534 Broadway, Saratoga Hotel 518-584-4000.
- November 11, 2007, Sunday afternoon (time TBA), Joe will
speak at MIT at the Students for the Exploration and Development of
Space Conference, Space Vision 2007. Registration is in Lobby 10 at
MIT.
- December 22 or 23, 2007, Joe'll be signing at Goerings Books, 1717 NW First
Ave., their new location, Gainesville, FL. 352-377-3703.
