(Rockville, Maryland) — October 1, 2007 — Fantasy Magazine has hired Cat Rambo as co-editor alongside Sean Wallace, replacing Paul Tremblay, who has stepped down to focus his energies on his writing career related to his recent two-book deal with Henry Holt. Rambo will assume her responsibilities effective October 1, 2007.
Cat Rambo has burst onto the scene over the past few years, with stories appearing or soon to appear in Asimov's, Clarkesworld Magazine, Fantasy Magazine, Strange Horizons, and Weird Tales. She lives in Redmond, Washington, and is currently working on a novel, The Moon's Accomplice.
"We're sad to see Paul go, as he has brought a lot to this magazine, but we're also very pleased that his career is taking off, and we wish him congratulations and the best of luck. He certainly will be doing future projects with me and Prime. In the meantime we look forward to working with Cat Rambo. She brings her own unique experience and perspective, which should greatly benefit Fantasy Magazine," said Sean Wallace, co-editor and publisher of Fantasy Magazine.
Fantasy Magazine is published by Prime Books, a World Fantasy award-winning imprint specialising in literary and cutting-edge cross-genre novels and short story collections.
