*************************************************** SFWA elections now contested *************************************************** Two Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America members have announced as write in candidates for SFWA Office in a previously uncontested election. John Scalzi is now running for President. Former SFWA President, Michael Capobianco, is the only candidate on the printed ballot. Derryl Murphy is now running for Vice-President. Former SFWA Vice-President, Andrew Burt is the only candidate for VP on the ballot. Murphy is currently the Canadian Regional Director. His term in that position expires this year. Capobianco and Burt's platforms are available in the ballots which were mailed to all active SFWA members. The ballots must be returned by April 28 to be counted.
