All SFWA members are invited to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America's annual New York Reception on Monday evening, November 24 2008, from 7:00 to 10:30 PM at the Society of Illustrators, 128 East 63rd Street, New York, NY 10021.

The SFWA New York Reception is our way of saying "thank you" to all the editors, agents, publishers, copy editors, art directors, production managers and other publishing professionals who do so much to further science fiction and fantasy. The reception is informal and open to all professionals in the field.

SFWA members should RSVP with names of all those in your party to execdir@sfwa.org. If you are bringing a colleague, please include title and company name or other professional association such as "writer" or "freelance copy editor."

This year, we must pay attention to the New York fire codes, which restrict the number on the upper floor (pay bar area) to no more than 125 people at a time. To facilitate circulation between the upstairs and the gallery we will have bartenders and light snacks in both areas. We request that everyone attending please be mindful of the limitation so we do not get the Society into trouble.
