Chuck Lorre to give Nebula Awards® keynote address ********************************************************* Chuck Lorre will serve as keynote speaker during the Nebula Award® Weekend in Los Angeles, California, April 24-26, 2009. Lorre is an award-winning executive producer/writer/creator whose credits include co-executive producer on the hit television show "Roseanne" as well as creator of some of the most successful sitcoms in television history including "Cybill," "Grace Under Fire" and "Dharma and Greg." He is currently the co-creator and executive producer of the number one comedy on television and four-time People’s Choice Award winner "Two and a Half Men" and one of television’s fastest growing sitcoms in its sophomore year, "The Big Bang Theory." Lorre recently received the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award and was honored by the Publicist’s Guild as Television Showman of the Year. In March, Lorre is scheduled to receive his star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. Lorre got his start in the entertainment industry as a guitarist/singer/songwriter when he wrote Debbie Harry's top 40 hit "French Kissin' in the USA" and penned the popular theme song of the animated series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." The 2009 Nebula Awards Weekend will be held in Los Angeles, California, April 24-26. Harry Harrison will be honored as the next Damon Knight Grand Master, while M.J. Engh will be honored as Author Emerita. Singer/songwriter/author Janis Ian will be on hand to serve as toastmistress. Victoria Strauss will be presented with the SFWA Service Award, Joss Whedon will be presented with the Bradbury Award while Kate Wilhelm, Martin H.
