SFWA® website recovered from "Hack"
******************************************************************

On Monday, March 23rd, an unknown hacker attempted to use the SFWA site to distribute a software 'trojan'. A member notified the webmaster about a problem with the main SFWA.ORG index page. Our webmaster, Chris Hansen, immediately changed the site password and edited all of the modified site pages to remove the malicious code.

Google had already scanned the site, found the hack and marked it as serving malware. Our webmaster has already requested that Google rescan the site but for the next 24 hours it may still show as serving malware.

The Trojan only effects members using IE 6 and older. As with all browsing, we strongly recommend that you update your browser to the most current version and make sure that your anti-virus software is functioning.
