Info for Authors: Paul Levinson is compiling the list of attending authors for the NYC event -- he needs to get it to Barnes & Noble in time for them to order the books. With 70+ authors already scheduled to sign, you should contact him ASAP to avoid missing out on a place. All SFWAns with books of any kind will be welcome (not only novels, but stories in anthologies, non-fiction books, etc), as well as folk with stories in currently published magazines. If you've got a book that B&N can order, and you can make it to New York City on May 19, we urge you to join in. The SciFi Channel will be at the signing, and we're going to pull out all the stops and get as much media publicity as we can. B&N will be placing an ad in the New York Times. With the number of reporters and media people that we'll be inviting, plus what B&N will be doing, this will be a big one. In some ways even more important than selling books will be the contacts you might pick up at this. And for those who can't make it to NYC, we have the local signings in Chicago, Minneapolis, Ann Arbor, Los Angeles, Gainesville (Fla.), Austin, Seattle, Washington DC suburbs, and more... |
