************************************************************************ 2006 Authors, Booksellers and Publishers Reception ************************************************************************ Following last year's successful Authors & Booksellers event held in Long Beach, CA, and hosted by Sheila Finch, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce the second Authors, Booksellers & Publishers Reception. This event will be held on Friday evening, June 16th, 2006, in Seattle, Washington at the SF Museum and Hall of Fame. The Authors, Booksellers & Publishers Reception will be the kick-off event for a gala weekend of science fiction activities at the SF Museum. On Saturday afternoon, June 17th, Locus Magazine will present the Locus Awards at a special ceremony. Then, Saturday evening, at a formal banquet, four new inductees will be named to the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. Additionally, various panels and discussions are planned throughout the event. SFWA members Harold Gross and Eve Gordon are acting as our hosts for the ABP Reception and our liaisons to the museum. We'll post more details about all three events as they become available, but mark your calendars and plan to join us.
