| The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America
Board of Directors has voted to continue and expand its contributions to
the ABOUT SF program originally started by James Gunn and David Brin and
currently operating out of the University of Kansas.
SFWA previously donated $3,000 in the program's first year to help it
get started. The Board has expanded its contribution, pledging $3,000 a
year over the next three years, for a commitment of $9,000.
The program is also supported by Tor Books, the Science Fiction Research
Association and by individual donations. Conventions, such as Kansas City's
ConQuesT have come on board with pledges.
