John Morressy (1930-2006)

Author and retired English professor, John Morressy died Monday March 20, 2006, of a massive coronary seizure.

John lived in Sullivan, New Hampshire, not far from Franklin Pierce College where he taught until a few years ago. He was 76.

In a career that spanned 40 years John published more than 25 novels and short story collections, as well as poetry and nonfiction. His fiction was published in many languages. His best known series, the Kedrigern Chronicles, was recently released as Vol. 1: The Domesticated Wizard, and Vol. 2: Dudgeon and Dragons, with Vol. 3: Occupational Hazards yet to be released.

Visitation will be at Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, New Hampshire from 6-8 PM Friday, and a mass will be at St. Bernard's Parish, 173 Main Street, Keene at 1:30 PM Saturday, March 25.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bernard's Parish or to the charity of one's choice. John's wife, Barbara has requested that his friends abstain from sending email, at least for the time being.
