Moved, (1) that per the recommendations of the Exploratory Committee, the former Electronic Piracy Committee be revived in toto under the new name "Copyright Committee" with the same members and chair as when it was disbanded;

(2) that Exploratory Committee Recommendations #1, 2, and 4-10 be adopted (or the materials be reviewed for updating, in that many already exist);

(3) that all committees and SFWA personnel who send out legal notices in the name of the Corporation have such correspondence reviewed for accuracy by an additional committee member other personnel the President directs, then submitted to the President and Executive Director (and any other parties the President directs) such that within a timely manner the President or Executive Director may override the submission of the correspondence; or other equivalently safe review process that the President and correspondent may agree upon; and

(4) that the President and Chair of the Copyright Committee, with the advice of SFWA's attorney, shall work out mutually agreed-upon written procedures for collecting infringement data, checking the data, and documenting all DMCA notices in accordance with Recommendation 3(d) of the Exploratory Committee's report.
