Relaunch of Tangent Online
***************************************************

Tangent Online, the Internet incarnation of Dave Truesdale's short fiction review zine has been relaunched following several months of reduced coverage and the threat of it shutting down.

Eugie Foster announces that she is replacing Chris Markwyn as the new Managing Editor.

Jeniffer Johnson, Webmaster of Tangent Online, reports that changes at the firm hosting the Tangent site had left their old coding broken beyond repair. The Tangent team is now making an early launch of the new site, which was already in the works, but not ready for public viewing.

For the time being, while the reviewers and management are getting up to speed and moving the old content over into the new site, all content will be available to all users.

The old membership system is broken and it will take a while to identify the old memberships, and get users transferred into the new system. In the past, paid subscribers had access to reviews in advance of the general public.

Dave Truesdale created Tangent as a print magazine in 1993 with the objective of reviewing all the professional short fiction in the speculative fiction field. Following an irregular publishing schedule, Tangent moved online in 1997, and continues to carry out Dave's original mission.
