Karen Joy Fowler: Fantastic Fiction Salon in Seattle, WA

Karen Joy Fowler

Please join us at Richard Hugo House, Seattle, WA, on May 21, 2007, when Karen Joy Fowler is the featured author at the Fantastic Fiction Salons, co-sponsored by NW MediaArts, University Book Store, and Richard Hugo House. We've invited writers whose work best showcases the art and craft of speculative literature to read their work, talk with the audience, and sign books at the end of the evening. Karen will read from her new work, answer questions and sign books.

She is available for interviews on Monday, May 21, from noon-4:30 pm.

University Bookstore will be on hand to sell author books.

Karen Joy Fowler is the author of four novels and two short story collections. An author who traverses genres from SF/fantasy to mainstream fiction, Fowler explores the mysteries of history, feminism, love, and friendship. Her first novel, Sarah Canary, won the Commonwealth medal for best first novel by a Californian, her third, Sister Noon, was a finalist for the Pen Faulkner award. She's won the Nebula and World Fantasy Award and her most recent novel, The Jane Austen Book Club, was a New York Times bestseller and is currently in post-production as a film starring Lynn Redgrave, Emily Blount, Amy Brenneman, Maria Bello, and Hugh Dancy.
