Nancy Farmer and Chris Willrich: Mountain View, CA, Reading September 27, 2007

Writers Nancy Farmer and Chris Willrich will give a reading at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27 at the Mountain View Public Library in Mountain View, California. The event is free and open to all. There is both above-ground and underground parking available at the library.

Nancy Farmer is the author of The House of the Scorpion, a National Book Award winner for Young People's Literature, as well as A Girl Named Disaster, The Ear, The Eye and the Arm, and many other books. She is a three-time winner of a Newbery Honor citation. Her most recent novel is Land of Silver Apples, a sequel to her 2004 The Sea of Trolls.

Chris Willrich's short fiction has appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Asimov's Science Fiction and The Mythic Circle. His best-known stories are a fantasy series about the thieves Persimmon Gaunt and Imago Bone.

Both writers had stories in the August 2007 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, and free copies of that issue will be available at the reading.
