Specialty used-books store that carries only mystery, sf, and horror titles. John Ralston: "I am an avid science fiction reader (and I read about science fiction), and I'm proud to say that when I find a description of a book in the Clute/Nicholls Encyclopedia of Science Fiction or in Anatomy of Wonder, I can almost always find the title here in the store. We carry a wide variety of paperbacks as well as rare first editions and the like."

The Book House, Manchester Blvd., Rock Hill, MO, 63119. "A great store that has a ghost tale associated with it. It is owned by a red-headed woman, and there is a ghost of a red-headed woman that shares the house with the books." Used and collectible books.

Bookman Rare and Used Books, 1724 21st Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212. About 40,000 sf&f titles in stock, mostly hardcover first editions and paperback originals. The owners say they would like to host signings or readings for sf&f authors, so if any of you are going to be in the vicinity, you might want to get in touch.

The only used sf/f bookstore in New Hampshire. Approximately 30,000 volumes, some new -- pulps, paperbacks, and hardcovers. Search service and mail order. John Morrissey says: "Judith Klein-Dial, who owns and operates Books and More [now Genre Ink], knows more about sf than anyone else in New Hampshire and the nearby states. Her shop is modest in size, but crammed with sf/fantasy books and magazines, old and new. If she hasn't got it within easy reach. she can probably get it quickly. She is a great resource, and a delight to chat with. Very writer-friendly and extremely helpful. Books and More is a good establishment with a good owner."
