Celebrating 2025 with SFWA Members

SFWA’s Annual Business Meeting featured a PowerPoint presentation with tons of beautiful visuals (thanks to Nebula photographer Kaitrin Acuna!). On December 11, we talked about the year in programming and revenue, infrastructure updates and next steps. But our favorite part was simply sitting in community with so many SFWA members who took the time to tell us about their recent achievements and what they’re working on next. Because, yes, there are very important organizational reasons for running a successful annual debrief—but everything we do at SFWA, we do as creators helping other creators. We are only ever as strong as our community. This year, you made all the difference.
Here are some of the terrific works we were delighted to learn about at the 2025 SFWA Annual Business Meeting. We look forward to celebrating more members during our upcoming Constellation Series events, including a Games and Comics showcase on Sunday, December 14, and of course in Chicago next June, for our Nebula Awards Conference.
SFWA Members! Have you started thinking about your Nebula Ballot yet? You have until March 1, and we have two new categories to celebrate in 2026: Poetry and Comics. Here’s to another brilliant year in SFF, with all the dedicated people who make it possible!
