Featured Book Form

To be eligible for inclusion books need:

  1. To be book-length fiction or non-fiction by a Full, Associate, or Senior SFWA member in good standing.
  2. A cover image
  3. A 250-character blurb
  4. A release date within one month of the current date. (Books may be submitted up to three months prior to their release date.)

SFWA reserves the right to exclude books if the program is oversubscribed for the given period, the works do not rise to a reasonable level of professionalism, or for other reasons consistent with the general posting rules on sfwa.org. Under the “reasonable level of professionalism” requirement, please remember that the use of Generative AI in the creation of book contents or cover art constitute grounds for removal of the work from our program.

    *We do not run your work through AI detectors. "Reasonable grounds" will come through reported disclosure of generative AI use on other forums, after discussion with the author if a reader expresses concern, or through the blatant discovery of AI prompt materials or watermarks in the work itself.

  • Maximum 250 characters.
  • This is ideally your author page or publisher website, or a link like Books2Read, inviting authors to find your work on their platform of choice.
  • This helps the service generate an ebook preview of your work, if so inclined. If you have no ebook identifier, write "none". If you don't want Featured Book to offer a Kindle preview, write "no thanks".
  • Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.
    We prefer portrait orientation and at least 300 pixels wide.
