Are you making full use of your SFWA Member Benefits?

If you’re a SFWA member in good standing, check out this select list to get you started on your 2026 creative campaign. If you need help activating your membership again, write to office@sfwa.org for membership assistance.

Your Membership Portal

First stop: Log in! Your Membership Portal will always have easy links to member services, including program pages and forum topics, and FAQ to help navigate the system. A revamped Singularity news page will show up shortly. Check back often in the future for other notes from SFWA’s Board and volunteer teams.

Crowdfunding & Author Event Promo

Congratulations on your upcoming crowdfunding campaign, book reading, or related author event! Don’t forget to send details to communications@sfwa.org. We’re relaunching Singularity as a more active news page on SFWA.org this month, so member events can be more prominently featured all the year long. Crowdfunding campaigns also go up on our Discord channel! Don’t forget to send in your next campaign details, if you’re a SFWA member in good standing.

Keep in mind!

SFWA is proud to relaunch its Emerging Tech Committee in 2026. Resources and guidance will be issued in the coming months to support SFWA writers and our general community in finding and adhering to best practices for supporting human-created SFF.

For all of the below programs, please note that there are two new required checkboxes, to confirm that genAI was not used in the creation of text or art for your latest work.

For the NetGalley Partnership Program, a service hosted on a third party, we are also issuing a zero-tolerance policy (immediate block from the program) for reviewers found to use genAI for their reviews. We ask that writers carefully vet all their ARC distribution platforms, and include language in download agreements to discourage reviewers from feeding your hard work into genAI models.

More guidance forthcoming as our committee does its work!
