Fundraiser for Nashville flood relief includes editorial review by SFWA president

Amanda Morgan, Victoria Schwab and Myra McEntire, Nashville based authors, are holding an auction to raise money for middle Tennessee flood victims. Mission:To accept donations from publishing professionals to auction for middle Tennessee flood relief. Proceeds will benefit The Community Foundation Flood Relief.

Among the items up for auction is an editorial review by Russell Davis, SFWA president.

Russell Davis, author, editor, packager, and President of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, will read (1) complete novel manuscript and reply with a detailed editorial letter in response. In addition, Russell will do a detailed line edit on the first three (3) chapters. Lastly, he will do a phone call with the person, after they’ve had a chance to look everything over, to answer any questions.

    Bruce L. Thiessen, a Bakersfield singer/songwriter/psychologist who goes by his initials, Dr BLT, has released a brand new original song that he aims to use to raise community awareness and funds for the folks from Nashville and surrounding regions directly impacted by the floods.

    The song, Washed Out in Nashville Tonight, was filmed for the cable TV show, Rockwell’s Opry, and will make it’s cable TV debut on Wednesday, April 12, 2010 at 6 pm on Brighthouse Channel 21.
