SFWA provides featured authors and books for readers looking for their next great read, as well as readings in various regions of the U.S.

Join five wonderful, terror-ful authors on October 6, 2024 at 6:00pm in NYC’s Shade Bar (241 Sullivan St.) for an evening of Wonder and Terror 2! Writers John Foster, Nicholas Kaufmann, Karen Heuler, Chandler Klang Smith and Randee Dawn will read from the darkest corners of their fiction and be on hand to sign and sell books. Shade Bar also sells crepes, though it’s unclear if they’ll be seasonally creepy crepesFree!

Brooklyn Books & Booze returns on October 15, 2024 at 7:00pm at Barrow’s Intense Tasting Room at 86th 34th Street, Brooklyn, NY (in Industry City)! Our readers this month are Katherine Silva, Keith R.A. DeCandido, Ledia Xhoga, Ilana C. Myer and Catherynne M. Valente! This is a monthly (usually third Tuesday) in-person event that showcases four (or more!) authors reading from their recent works. And it’s FREE! Katherine Kerestman will present Salem Past and Present Intermixt on October 15, 2024 at 6:00pm at the Morley Library in Painesville, OH. The program is based on a chapter from her award-winning book, Creepy Cat’s Macabre Travels: Prowling Around Haunted Towers, Crumbling Castles and Ghoulish Graveyards (WordCrafts Press, 2020).
