What’s the average advance for a first novel? How long does it take the typical first novel to sell? Do most first novelists sell their books on their own, or through an agent? Will publishers and agents consider first novelists who don’t have any short fiction publication credits?
SFWA Active members, there are only 5 days left to vote for the Nebula Awards. Why not spend the weekend reading the Nebula Nominated Fiction available in the members’ only Discussion Forum. Your vote must be received by Tuesday, March 30th, 2010 at 11:59pm PST in order to be counted.
